Dr. Clark Roush is in his 40th year at York. He is the endowed chair for the performing
arts and his primary functions are conducting University Singers, chairing the Music
Department, and teaching theory, music history, and elementary music methods, teaching
music in the elementary and middle grades, and music appreciation. He is frequently
asked to be a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for various events. His
choirs have appeared at the state conventions of the Nebraska Choral Directors Association,
the Nebraska Music Education Association, with the Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra,
with the Abendmusik Choir, and with Eric Whitacre in NYC. He has appeared multiple
times as a choral headliner for the Nebraska Music Education Association and served
on the board of the Nebraska Choral Directors Association. He has had multiple journal
articles published and has been on the review board of several music textbooks.
