York University is pleased to announce its third consecutive year of enrollment increase with the largest on-campus student number in six years. In total, undergraduate student enrollment rose  to 458, a 5.7% increase from 2025. Total enrollment, including online and graduate students, increased to 535. 

 

This fall, York University welcomes students from 34 states and 24 countries. Students from Nebraska comprise 25% of the total new student population. In addition, 124 high school students, who were not included in the total number, are participating in dual-credit courses across the United States.

President Timothy Westbrook said, “York University is experiencing a period of growth and excitement that we expect to continue for many years to come. Congratulations to the admissions team and athletic department for their part in drawing many young adults to experience the blessing of what it means to be a York University Panther.”

Vice President for Enrollment Roni Miller said, “Enrollment growth is truly a campuswide effort. Our admissions team may be the first connection for many students, but it takes our faculty, coaches, financial aid staff, student life team and so many others to help a student ultimately choose York. These numbers reflect a lot of people working together. We’re proud of the progress, but we’re not satisfied. Our focus now is to build on this momentum and to help more students discover what York has to offer.” 

 

This year York University is celebrating 70 years of affiliation with the Churches of Christ. Westbrook notes, “Year after year we put a high value on Christian higher education. Not only do we offer academic credentials that prepare students for their futures, but we also are in the business of preparing students for life challenges, leadership development, questions of faith and service in the local churches. We look forward to another 70 years of guiding and shaping educational experiences through a biblical and Christ-centered lens.”
