Dr. DeHart serves as the Chair of the Education Department and the Division Chair
of Professional Studies. She teaches a large variety of education courses for the
undergraduate teacher education program and in the online master of education program.
In addition to teaching, she is the Educational Preparation Provider for state and
national accreditation and the certification officer.
The research interest she has is quantitative in nature, with a focus on multicultural
and diversity education, reflective learning, and impact of experiential learning.
Recently, she has been involved in diversity and cultural responsive teaching. On
campus, she has worked with students in promoting diversity and creating activities
on campus that celebrate diversity and building bridges between our diverse population
of students.
