A Letter From the President
I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this community and I am honored to have the opportunity to engage with our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends. If you see me around campus or in the community please feel free to introduce yourself.
Twenty-seven years ago I arrived on the York University campus to begin my higher
education journey as a freshman. Returning to a school that had such a significant
impact on my development was one factor that led me to pursue this new chapter in
life. However, the most important factor in my decision is that it is overwhelmingly
obvious the university is devoted to providing students with a Christ-centered education.
York University inspires students to grow intellectually, physically, and spiritually
through a caring Christian community of supportive peers, excellent educators, and
passionate alumni. We have built a tradition of preparing men and women to be leaders
in every area of their lives. Each member of our family is an important part of our
success. We welcome you to come see the difference and to be the difference at YU.
I invite you to consider how York University can serve you in your future endeavors.
We have a promising future and we would love for you to be a part of it.
In Him,
Sam Smith
President
